California Adventure Food & Wine Festival: You need to go!

Walking into Disney California Adventure for the first time is like walking into a world where Disney and Pixar stories come to life. Imagine turning a corner and suddenly finding yourself in the middle of Radiator Springs, where you can race Lightning McQueen. Next, stroll along Pixar Pier, where the worlds of Toy Story, Inside Out, and The Incredibles come to life before your eyes. Ever dreamed of being a Disney animator? You can try your hand at drawing your favorite characters at the Animation Academy! And if you’re a Marvel fan, head on over to Avengers Campus; you never know when you’ll bump into Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, or even Spider-Man swinging above you!

Combine all of that magic with the Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure, and you’ll never want to leave! On my latest visit, I indulged in everything from sweet raspberry horchatas to perfectly grilled steak while soaking in the sights and sounds of Pixar Pier. This is one experience you do not want to miss; let’s dive in!

To kick off my festival experience, I treated myself to a raspberry horchata. The drink was a delightful blend of raspberry, almond, and cinnamon syrups, with creamy rice pudding, milk, and condensed milk that made each sip feel like a dessert in a glass. The best part? It was garnished with a skewer of fresh raspberries that added an extra sweetness, making each sip even more refreshing.  Now, let’s check out what delicious main course I had next!

A Sip of Sweetness: Raspberry Horchata

For my main course, I indulged in the Asa’dos.  An incredible plate featuring grilled skirt steak and chipotle chicken paired with Spanish rice and salsa verde. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and tender, and the smoky chipotle chicken had just the right amount of heat. Together, they made for the perfect festival dish. If you are a fan of well-balanced flavors, this is one dish you absolutely need to try.  To finish the evening was a Snickers macaron that just thinking about it makes my mouth water.  It has a rich chocolatey filling filled with chunks of Snickers.

One of the highlights of attending the festival was the sip-and-savor food pass. This pass allows you to sample different dishes and drinks throughout the park, making it easy to experience as many of the festival’s incredible offerings as possible without breaking the bank. It’s an excellent way to pace yourself, especially if you want to try a little bit of everything. Even though, let’s be honest, it’s hard to stop at just one bite.

If you’re anything like me, a trip to Disneyland is never complete without a few souvenirs to remember the experience. The Food & Wine Festival had some fantastic event merchandise, and I couldn’t resist picking up a festival pin to commemorate the day. The pins are always a special part of my Disney vacations, and this one was no exception. It was a perfect little keepsake. Whether you’re into pins, shirts, or other collectible items, there’s plenty of festival merchandise to take home.
