One of the best parts of visiting Hollywood Studios is meeting the characters from Disney’s beloved movies. The park offers numerous opportunities to interact with your kids’ favorite characters. First, head over to Toy Story Land, where you can meet characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. The colorful, oversized world of Toy Story Land makes these meet-and-greets extra special. While here, make sure you hop on Alien Swirling Saucers. This ride is an excellent choice for younger children. It’s a gentle, spinning ride and is perfect for the whole family. Then, you will want to try your hand at Toy Story Mania! It is an interactive 4D ride for the entire family.
The next stop is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. For my husband and daughter, this is a dream come true. You can meet famous characters like Chewbacca, Rey, and even Kylo Ren. There are also opportunities to interact with Stormtroopers and other fan-favorite characters. You can’t miss Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, a thrilling ride where you can pilot the iconic ship through a series of missions.
After seeing Star Wars, head over to the Disney Junior Play and Dance Party and have a chance to meet Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina! This is truly a magical memory.
Be sure to save time for Hollywood Studios live performances, too. They are certainly a favorite among my family. My oldest daughter’s favorite show is Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage. This Broadway-style musical is a timeless classic that brings the story of Belle and the Beast to life. A favorite show of mine is Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. This show invites families to sing along with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff as they retell the story of Frozen. It also has comic relief to keep non-Frozen fans entertained! The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is a must-see if your family loves action. This thrilling live show showcases stunts, explosions, and high-flying action. To end the night, head over to Fantasmic! It is an epic nighttime spectacular that combines fireworks, water projections, and your favorite Disney characters and princesses.
After spending time meeting your favorite characters and seeing a few shows, be sure to grab a bite to eat. 50’s Prime Time Café is a fun and quirky dining experience. This retro-style restaurant has a 1950s home vibe, where “cousins” (the servers) will remind you to keep your elbows off the table and finish your veggies. The nostalgic menu offers comfort food like meatloaf, fried chicken, and milkshakes. If you want something quick, head over to Woody’s Lunch Box, which is located in Toy Story Land. This quick-service restaurant offers favorites like grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and tater tots.
Hollywood Studios is a must-visit for families with kids of all ages, and I’m sure your kids will love it just as much as mine do. Every time we visit, my kids can’t contain their excitement. They can’t wait to meet their favorite characters, hop on the rides, and watch the incredible live shows. The park is full of fun for everyone in the family, from the youngest to the oldest.
