The holiday season is here, and if you’re like me, you’re already feeling behind as you start trying to plan, purchase, and wrap the gifts for all of the people on your list. Not to mention the always emotional annual playroom purge to make way for the new toys coming in just a few weeks.

But what if you didn’t have to do all of that? What if instead of more things that will grow old and unwanted in the corner of the playroom, you chose to give the gift of a vacation instead? Why not take a Disney vacation? A trip to Disney World, Disneyland, or a Disney Cruise requires very little work for you when you use a travel agent. Your family will get memories that will bind you together for years to come and you get someone to handle all the details for you! If you aren’t currently working with a travel agent from our sister company, Smart Moms Travel, I’d love to help you plan a trip filled with magic! I work with families every year who opt out of gifts and decide to give a vacation instead. Reach out to me here for your free quote!
Skipping the gifts doesn’t mean Christmas morning won’t be magical for your kiddos! Here are 3 special ways to surprise your kiddos, giving them Christmas morning magic, without all the work:

- Scavenger hunt- Take your kids on an adventure around your home (or outside) and hide clues at each location as to where they’ll be going on vacation! (Bluey Easter episode anyone?) Kids love scavenger hunts and the best part? This Pinterest search will give you countless ideas on what clues to create or purchase to make this a super easy but very memorable Christmas morning!
- Character Announcement- Whether it’s a video you find online or a letter you write and sign from Mickey or Elsa you can bring your kids favorite characters to life by letting them do the honors of the big reveal! There are several online platforms that can create a customized message from a character, you could write your own letter from their character, or use these premade templates to help aid in this special surprise for your kiddos! And if you’re planning to give the gift of a Disney cruise, your travel agent can help you request a call from Mickey himself telling your kids how excited they are for their upcoming cruise.
- Magic Box Surprise- Another popular way to make your Disney trip announcement special for your kids is by creating a magic box! Wrap a big box filled with clues inside little wrapped boxes for them to unwrap one at a time. These could start difficult (sunscreen, bubbles, etc.) and grow more obvious with each box they open. The last box could be Mickey ears or a Disney World t-shirt! This gives them the fun of opening gifts on Christmas morning using things you’d be purchasing for your trip anyway!

Are you ready to ditch the overpriced toys, endless wrapping, and stress of the holidays for a vacation with your family?
