The Ultimate Disney Springs Crawl

First things first. Let’s address the grown-up stuff.

Disney Springs is in Disney World, and there are families present. So please, keep it tame, split drinks with someone, consume a glass of water each time you have an alcoholic beverage, and anchor your belly with food as well. And absolutely do not drink and drive.

The Ultimate Disney Springs Crawl for the Disney Adult

Adulting at Disney is fun. If you’ve got an upcoming Disney visit that looks like a bachelor or bachelorette trip, anniversary, honeymoon, girl’s trip, or adults-only celebration, a pub crawl may be in order.

Many Disney guests do the usual shopping at World of Disney, the Lego Store, and more, and maybe enjoy dinner a few times at various restaurants, or nibble on snacks (a la Sprinkles or Gideon’s). However, Disney Springs really comes alive at night, something that many Disney goers don’t fully appreciate.

If you are a Type A personality, or if you’d like to skip my thoughts and recommendations about the Ultimate Disney Springs Crawl, no hard feelings. I made a quick graphic mapping out the ultimate Disney Springs Crawl that’s easy to screenshot at the end of this article.

Stop #1: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

Art’s Famous Fried Chicken. I opted for Momma’s Mac and Cheese instead of the mashed potatoes.

Called Homecomin’ because Chef Smith is a native Floridian, Homecomin’ is known for its 24- hour Buttermilk-brined and hand-battered fried chicken and signature moonshine craft cocktails from its Southern Shine bar.

Homecoming’ is a smart way to anchor your belly before your Disney Springs crawl.

And if you are the day-drinking type, you can even start off early with their famous The Rise’n Shine Brunch.

We split the entree, which was delicious and plenty enough to feed two. I do plan to eventually sample more from their menu. The food options are definitely on the heavy side here, again, making it a first great stop.

Drink recommendation: Moonshine Mash

Stop #2: Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar

If you want to escape the Orlando heat and sun, this is the place to… hide. Step downstairs into this 1920’s speakeasy, and you’ll need some time to let your eyes adjust to the dimly lit establishment. We could very easily spend hours enjoying this literal tunnel.

We haven’t sampled food here, but we have witnessed strikingly good-looking Italian meals go out to customers (which is hard to find on Disney property, save a few places). The customer service also seemed to be of the level one would expect from a fine restaurant.

Because of how secretive this gem of a restaurant is, Enzo’s does accept walk-up dining reservations. So, if you’re out of luck with dining reservations and want to eat at a great table service restaurant, you might be in luck if you can find this hideaway…

Rick was an exceptional server and was kind enough to let me photograph these fine looking craft cocktails as they went out to diners.

Drink Recommendation: Paloma Italiana

Stop #3: The Edison

This is my husband’s favorite Disney Springs stop, known for its handcrafted cocktails, top-notch service, and steampunk vibe. In fact, in talking to some of the bartenders, it’s where the industry service folks like to hang out on their off time (shhh… don’t say I said).

The Edison’s entertainment varies from bands to burlesque-style dancers to aerialists. In terms of Disney, The Edison’s entertainment can be considered risque, but in terms of standard adult entertainment, it is really quite tame. It is Disney, afterall.

There are multiple themed rooms. We like to grab a beverage and explore each of them while we are there. Note: there is currently a $10 cover after 10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (ages 21 and up).

What time is it? It’s easy to lose track of time in this fun establishment. This massive clock strikes at the top of each hour.

Try: DB “Clothesline” Candied Bacon, and any hand-crafted cocktail of your choice. They really are consistently well done and top-notch. I like to try the featured seasonal cocktail.

Stop #4: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

If you’re an Indiana Jones fan, Jock Lindsey’s is a must. It is a relaxing, waterside establishment with no snakes (“Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?”). Its environment and food and drink offerings are inspired by Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones’s pilot in Raiders of the Lost Arc (the best of the Indiana Jones movies, in my humble opinion).

The theming is heavily into 1930’s(?) aviation with some hard-to-find (and other not-so-hard-to-find) details. Indy’s satchel & zippo lighter, Short Round’s Yankees cap, and gifts from Steven Spielberg to the actor that played Jock Lindsey are all woven into the decor.

The theming is so story-heavy that I can’t even remember what I have ordered here. 😬 It was a bit forgettable. But I can tell you that its menu heavily pays homage to the well-beloved Indiana Jones movies. It’s also important to note that it is technically not a restaurant, but a lounge, and reservations cannot be made in advance.

Recommendation: While the Hangar Bar is known for its theming, it’s not known for its food or beverage offerings, so I personally would nix the small bites and grab whichever cleverly named cocktail catches your attention. In the words of Indy, “I don’t know. I’m making this up as I go.”

Stop #5: Dockside Bar at the Boathouse

For those that follow me on social media ~ you know that I post about Boathouse on the regular. It’s just soooo good! They also have fantastic creative handcrafted cocktails. They also have one of the widest selections I’ve seen at Disney Springs of bottle & can beer, craft beer, varieties of wine, after-dinner drinks, scotch, and whiskey & bourbon.

It is also home of the famous Vintage Amphicar Tours, which can be enjoyed before or after a meal.

And yes, I recommend The Boathouse as a food pitstop. Dining reservations are highly recommended and sometimes hard to get. And for good reason; their market fresh fish, raw bar, and steak are amazing.

If you’re not a seafood eater, it’s still a solid choice. One of my husband’s friends is not an adventurous eater and recently came back from their trip. He *raved* about the Classic Cheeseburger. In fact, he made it a point to go back multiple times for that same exact burger!

The Boathouse also offers brunch, so you can do the total reverse order of how I started and begin at the Boathouse instead.

You SHORE can eat inside this boat-table! Ask your server at check-in.

I recommend: The Duck Duck Razz ~ Stoli Razz, Peach Schnapps, Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup. Less sweet than it sounds (the lemon balances it out perfectly), it comes with the cutest, most Instagrammable rubber ducky. 🐥 I’ve not had any bad food at this restaurant, so order your poison. I’m a wedge salad as an appetizer kinda gal, and if you are too, definitely try theirs.

Stop #6: Wine Bar George

I keep making it a point to brunch here because that’s what a lot of locals do. One day I will get my life together and make a Wine Bar George brunch reservation…

….and I’m back. It is now the future and I *finally* made a brunch reservation for my next trip. There’s no time like the present, right?

Master Sommelier George Miliotes leads Wine Bar George in the bougie Disney Springs category. At one point in his career, he was part of the opening team of the California Grill restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Quite impressive!

On top of that, Wine Bar George has been named in a prestigious list for establishments with the best wine lists. But don’t ask ME how amazing this place is, they have been named “Best of” in so many categories.

The times I’ve been here have been for quick bites and a drink or two at the bar. The environment is very elegant and overall lovely, and the service is of the highest quality.

Try: whatever the staff recommends; they’re experts. They will ask you what type of wine or spirit you gravitate toward and a few other questions.

My husband and I typically split drinks. After talking to the bartender, they recommended the cocktail pictured below. It was absolutely delicious and balanced, not overly sweet and hands-down one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. We were warned that this beverage is meant for 2 to consume. Even though it was absolutely to die for, we wanted to keep our composure and not overindulge, so we did not finish it. I want to say they called it “the zombie”, but there’s no sign of it on their menu.

Final Stop: Raglan Road

Live Irish entertainment and energy always sucks me into Raglan Road. Sometimes when I’m standing in line at neighboring Gideon’s Bakehouse waiting for cookies, I’ll make the decision to go inside.

I’ve not ever had a hard time making reservations here, and the food is pretty great. Think shepherd’s pie, bangers & mash, and good ol’ fish & chips.

The real reason I Iove Raglan Road is for the entertainment. Unlike some other places that offer entertainment on some nights, Raglan Roads offers nightly entertainment in the form of live music or dance.

You can request seating near the main stage, as it’s pretty hard to watch from some of the dining areas. There is often entertainment outside as well. A few times, I’ve had a meal and then sat at the bar to watch the main stage.

My friend Adriana and I were excited to dine at Raglan Road!

My husband had Irish whiskey on another visit, and I wanted to try the Bailey’s shake.

They have the cutest gift shop inside with many items that can be personalized.

Try: One of their Irish whiskeys ~ they have a wide selection, and when in Rome… err… Ireland.. Or Guiness.

Time to head home and treat that Irish flu!

Geographers Never Get Lost

  • Frances’s favorite ride at Disney is the Haunted Mansion because it has allllll the Disney classic nostalgia, tongue-in-cheekiness (yes, she made that up), and is a piece of some of the original Imagineer's original work. She’s even been backstage to see how the amazing smoke and mirrors happen at the Magic Kingdom! However, Frances prefers the West coast version of the Haunted Mansion as it is set in the classic New Orleans Square, one of her favorite Disney-themed areas.
