Cancun, Mexico
One of the most popular, warm, travel destinations for families to visit during the winter breaks is Cancun. Cancun has a good selection of affordable all-inclusive (and non-all-inclusive) resorts and offers a wide range of activities for visitors to choose from. Families also love that flights to Cancun from the US are fairly affordable, which is amazing for those families of 5 or more.

Bahamas
Another favorite winter escape is the Bahamas. Guests can choose to stay in a luxurious resort, such as Atlantis, more affordable resorts, or if they’re looking for something even more budget friendly- vacation rental homes. US Virgin Islands
The selling point of the US Virgin Islands, which draws travelers in, is that citizens of the United States do not need to worry about a passport when entering or leaving this warm destination. The US Virgin Islands have a lot of family friendly resorts, which is another reason why families choose to spend part of their two week vacations here. Kids of all ages (yes, you adults, too!) will love all the unique excursions and activities in the US Virgin Islands, such as swimming with adorable sea lions, island hopping, or snorkeling in breathtaking lagoons.
Thailand
Families will not have to worry about breaking the bank when they choose to visit Koh Samui in Thailand for their winter break. The turquoise blue waters (that are warm even in the winter), elephant sanctuaries, and waterfalls give this tropical oasis all the luxurious feels without the matching price tag.

Sweden
Last, but certainly not least, is Abisko, Sweden. What makes Abisko an amazing winter vacation destination is because it is the number one most affordable place you can visit as a family (or alone) to see the Northern Lights.
There is one last tip that I want to leave you with! Make sure to take plenty of family photos while you are on your vacation and grab a souvenir or two as a keepsake for your family trip that year that you can look back on. Do not forget to write the month and year you traveled, along with the destination, on the bottom of your souvenirs!
