Opening
I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely STOKED for Epic Universe to open in 2025. We have yet to get a specific opening date, but one clue is triggering my Spidey Sense…
When Universal released their 2025 dates, they only opened dates through April 2025. In my mind, I want to believe that this means they needed more time because soon after April they will need to have new tickets and resorts in the system! What do you think? Will Epic be opening around May or June? They have said “Summer,” so June would be likely.
Three Brand New Onsite Resorts
Two of the newest resorts, however, ARE available for bookings beginning in January! Stella Nova and Terra Luna are both in the Prime Value category, which matches that of Cabana Bay and Aventura. They will include the typical resort perks and include shuttles to all the parks. We have yet to hear if there will be any other form of transportation in the Epic area.
A third hotel will put us right in the action! Located INSIDE the Celestial Park land, guests at this Premier level resort will have their own dedicated park entrance, adding to the already appealing perks at the Premier level. We have yet to see price points or bookings for this resort.
Park Overview
Referred to as the South Campus (current parks and hotels being the North Campus), Epic Universe will be located about 15 minutes down the road from the original parks. The land, recently re-acquired by Universal, is slightly larger than the current campus at about 750 acres. Interestingly, Universal had previously owned this chunk of land but sold it. Another roadblock came with the pandemic when construction was halted early on in the process. Once it restarted, though, they cruised right along and are about to complete an entire new park in the time it has taken others to complete a single attraction! They have now even contributed to improvements in the road and will even have a median dedicated to electric bus transportation.
Epic Universe will consist of 5 fully immersive and unique lands accessed through magical portals through time and space. The layout of the park will be a large central land (Celestial Park) with the 4 intellectual property-themed lands radiating out from it. Each land will be distinctly separate and only accessible by heading back through each respective portal into Celestial Park. This is the concept implemented for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and it is intended to keep guests fully immersed in each land and maintain the portal concept.
So far we have a lot of info on 3 of the 5 areas, and a little info on the remaining 2. We will update this article as more info drops!
