Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a tropical-themed, moderate resort at Walt Disney World. It’s a great option for those looking to enjoy a laid-back, island-inspired setting without splurging on a deluxe resort. Caribbean Beach Resort is packed with colorful, vibrant decor and offers various amenities that enhance the experience.
Pros:
Themed Atmosphere: The resort’s colorful Caribbean vibe, complete with sandy beaches and colonial-style architecture, is immersive and relaxing. Each area of the resort represents a different Caribbean island (such as Jamaica, Aruba, and Barbados), which gives the grounds a unique charm and makes it easy to feel like you’ve escaped to a tropical island.

Pool & Recreation: The main pool, Fuentes del Morro Pool, is a standout. It has a pirate-themed design with water cannons, slides, and a kids’ splash area. It’s one of the best pools in the moderate resort category, making it perfect for families with children. The resort also has quiet pools, playgrounds, jogging trails, and even beach hammocks for a more relaxed experience.

Dining Options: The resort offers several dining choices, including the food court-style Centertown Market and the waterfront Banana Cabana bar and grill, which serves Caribbean-inspired food and drinks. For a moderate resort, there’s a good variety of food that includes both quick-service and table-service options, plus easy access to other dining at nearby resorts.
Skyliner Transportation: One of the biggest perks of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is its central hub for the Disney Skyliner gondola system. The Skyliner is our family’s preferred mode of transportation. It provides quick, direct access to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is a huge advantage for anyone who doesn’t mind heights and enjoys scenic views while traveling. The ride is smooth and offers stunning aerial views of the Disney property, including some glimpses of the parks. The Skyliner is a much faster and more scenic option compared to buses, adding both convenience and a little bit of thrill to the experience!
Special Seasonal Perks:
We’ve stayed at Caribbean Beach during both Easter and spring break, and both experiences were fantastic. At Easter, the resort truly shines with its thoughtful touches, such as putting out candy for the kids, including allergy-friendly options. It’s those little extra details that make the stay even more magical.

During spring break, despite the typically busy season, we never felt over-crowded. The resort’s spacious layout and the efficient Skyliner transportation make it feel comfortable and relaxing, even during peak travel times.
Cons:
Size and Layout: The resort is large and spread out, which means that some rooms can be quite far from the main dining areas, lobby, or Skyliner station. If you want to be closer to amenities, booking a Preferred Room can help, but it may not be worth it for everyone. I didn’t request anything special and have stayed in the Jamaica and Trinidad sections. Both were great. Jamaica was a little closer for transportation and other amenities, but not by much.
Limited Night-time Dining: While the resort’s food court has several options, it’s not open very late. There are some options for mobile ordering, but late-night dining can be limited compared to other resorts.
For anyone looking for a moderate resort with great amenities and an island feel, Caribbean Beach is a wonderful option—whether you’re visiting during spring break, Easter, or any other time of year! With its easy transportation, standout pool and recreation options, and vibrant tropical atmosphere, it’s easy to see why Caribbean Beach Resort is a favorite place to call home during your Walt Disney World vacation!
