Everyone wants to be at Disney in 2022–after all, it is the 50th Anniversary celebration! However, there are some extremely exciting Disney updates for 2023! THIS is the year you WON’T want to miss a trip to Disney… Read below to find out what you could experience on your next trip.
#1: Happily Ever After (Magic Kingdom, Disney World)
EEK! The soundtrack for Happily Ever After is returning to Magic Kingdom in 2023! For a while, this nostalgic fireworks show has been missing, but it is coming back to captivate and inspire travelers once again in 2023, shortly after the end of the 50th Anniversary Celebration! This is one of the most exciting Disney updates in my opinion!
#2: Tron Opening Updates (Magic Kingdom, Disney World)
Finally, after what seems like forever, Disney has announced that the new rollercoaster TRON will be opening in Spring 2023. This rollercoaster is already open in Shanghai Disney Resort, and the videos online look like this will be a fabulous addition to Tomorrowland. In fact, ride tests have already begun!! Spring is also the perfect time to visit Disney World because crowds are light, and the weather is beautiful. #3: Figment Meet and Greet (Epcot, Disney World)
For me, this was a surprise Disney update! Figment is one of the most adorable characters around! After the crazy obsession over the Figment popcorn bucket last year, it’s only natural to show Figment more love by bringing him back as a Meet and Greet character! I personally hope he comes back during the Festival of the Arts–it’s my favorite festival at Epcot, and it suits Figment perfectly!
#4: New Multiverse Avengers Ride (Avengers Campus, Disneyland)
Over on the other coast, Disneyland is getting a third ride at Avengers Campus! This ride will apparently include characters from all over the multiverse, so who knows who will appear! Avengers Campus is already home to two rides and LOTS of character meet and greets with our beloved superheroes. If you want to visit Disneyland, I can help with that too! #5: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Updates (Disney World AND Disneyland)
Models of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the new retheming of Splash Mountain, were presented at D23! While I am still crushed that Splash Mountain will be gone, I have to admit… Tiana’s Bayou Adventure looks incredible! The amount of detail that is going into the ride is amazing. Plus, Disneyland will get a matching restaurant, Tiana’s Place!
#6: New Cruise Destinations (Disney Cruise Line)
Finally, the Disney Wish, Disney’s new state-of-the-art ship, will be sailing to Australia and New Zealand in 2023! I was mind blown by this announcement–what an amazing cruise that will be!
