It’s every parent’s dream, right? Watching their kids walk down Main Street together, the best of friends, siblings enjoying Disney together.
But it’s not always like that. There are popcorn fights, tantrums, and lots of other less-than-magical moments. So, how do you get your kids to enjoy Disney together? As a Disney kid myself, who now goes to Disney with my sister (who also happens to be my best friend), let me give you some tips!!
1: Let Siblings Enjoy Disney Together On Their Own
If they’re old enough and/or tall enough, let them ride together! According to Disney rules, a child under the age of seven MUST ride with someone over the age of fourteen in the same cart. I can distinctly remember the first time I rode with my little sister… This was way before the new rules.
I was probably 9 and my sister was 4. It was Winnie the Pooh in Magic Kingdom, and I held onto her so tightly because I was scared she’d fall out. But that became one of the most magical memories ever, and I still remember it to this day.
Now, we ride everything together! Trust me, when your kids are on a ride together, all the arguments will fly away! It will become a magical memory that they’ll always cherish.

2: Give Them Their Space
Yup, you heard me! You want your kids enjoying Disney together, but they also need some time apart… but not too far apart. It’s as easy as each parent sitting with one child or mixing up which kids sit next to each other on rides. Meals? Sit next to a different person each time! Changing it up often will prevent siblings from having too many chances to argue. No one wants a Disney argument!

3: Get PhotoPass!
I can’t say it enough. Get. The. PhotoPass! Give your kids memories to take home with them. Especially in the age of digital photos, PhotoPass gives your kids the chance to remember their Disney trips for years to come. Siblings will also enjoy taking photos together without you!

4: Give Them Gift Card Budgets to Spend Together
This might be new to you (or maybe not!), but give your kids a set budget through Disney gift cards, then let them loose in the Disney stores! As a kid, I LOVED shopping with my little sister. It made us feel like grown-ups! We definitely have some fun memories traipsing around Disney stores by ourselves! And we couldn’t go over budget, because it was a gift card. 😉
Overall, some of my sweetest memories at Disney are with my sister. Your kids can have magical moments at Disney together, too!
