2026 Disney Vacation Planning: Everything You Need to Know to Start Planning

Disney just dropped some magical news — and if you’re a parent already dreaming up your next family adventure, you’re going to want to hear this!

Starting April 22, 2025, Walt Disney World vacation bookings for 2026 will officially open. That means you can lock in your resort stay, theme park tickets, and dining package all the way through October 31, 2026. But wait… it gets even better.

NEW: Free Dining Plans for Kids in 2026!

YES! You read that right. In 2026, if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel and you purchase a dining plan for the adults in your party (ages 10+), kids ages 3 to 9 will eat FREE. This is huge for families trying to make every dollar count while still soaking up all the magic.

If you’ve ever debated the value of a dining plan, this perk just made it a no-brainer for parents with little ones.

More Ways to Beat the Florida Heat

One of the lesser-talked- about Disney perks that’s continuing in 2026? Guests arriving on the first day of their vacation package will still be able to enjoy complimentary access to a Disney Water Park that day! That means you can cool off at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach before you even check into your resort or step foot in the parks. It’s a perfect way to ease into your trip (especially for toddlers who need a slower start).

Perks for Disney Resort Guests

All the fan-favorite benefits of staying on-property aren’t going anywhere in 2026.

You still get to enjoy:

  • Early Theme Park entry every day
  • Free resort transportation
  • Early access to dining reservations (a major win for those character meals)
  • Complimentary parking at both the parks and resorts

And if you’re planning to stay at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Deluxe Villa Resort, you’ll also continue to enjoy extended evening hours at select parks on certain nights-which is perfect for families with older kids or those who can cap midday and rally after dark.

If your kiddos will be ages 3-9 in 2026, now is the time to start dreaming (and planning). These dining plan savings, combined with the water park perk and continued resort benefits, make next year an amazing time to visit!
